“Someday, a Wise Residency Life”, a spin-off of “Hospital Playlist”, is scheduled to air in May 2024. Shifting the setting from the main branch of Yulje Hospital, the backdrop of “Hospital Playlist”, to the Jongno Yulje Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology department, it will chronicle the growth of first-year residents. Go Yoon-jung will portray a first-year resident in obstetrics and gynecology, embodying the struggles of a novice doctor and navigating the initial experiences of social life as a young adult entering the workforce.

The script for "Someday, a Wise Residency Life" is penned by Kim Song-hee, who served as an assistant writer for “Reply 1988” and “Hospital Playlist”, raising anticipation for a different charm compared to the original series.

Seo Dong-jae, who garnered much love for his realistic portrayal in “Stranger”, is set to return as the protagonist. Transferred to the Cheongju District Prosecutors' Office, Seo Dong-jae grapples with the lingering image of a corrupt prosecutor from his past. Despite this, he remains true to his opportunistic nature, and it's expected that he'll face internal conflict amidst the unfolding events. Park Sung-woong, who has also confirmed his participation, will play Nam Wan-seong, the CEO of a construction company involved in a redevelopment project that Seo Dong-jae is investigating. A high school girl's murder takes place during the investigation of the redevelopment project, and the story is anticipated to unfold centering around Seo Dong-jae, who takes on the task of solving this case. The title, "Dongjae, Good or Bad", aptly reflects the ambiguous nature of Seo Dong-jae, a character who is neither entirely good nor entirely bad. Following the mixed reception of season 2, which failed to match the acclaim of season 1, anticipation is high for this spin-off to recapture the magic of the original series.
